How to Make a Plastic Injection Mould

To make a Plastic injection mould, Firstly we use Pro/Engineer、UG、Solidworks、AutoCAD software to make the Product drawing and mould design. After get the confirmation from Customer, The Plastic injection mould steel will be ordered, Widely used Mould steel as follows:

Plastic Injection Mould Machining: The general process involved is square cutting, CNC, Drilling, heat treatment(quenching, tempering), Engraving, Grinding machine, lathe machine, EDM, Wire cutting, Laser Engraving, surface treatment, assembly

1. Heat treatment

In the heat treatment process of Plastic injection mould, it is necessary to control the internal stress while obtaining the required hardness to ensure the dimensional stability of parts during processing

2. Grinding Process

There are three main types of grinding machines: Surface grinder, internal and external cylindrical grinder and tool grinder. During finishing grinding, grinding deformation and the generation of grinding cracks should be strictly controlled. Therefore, the fine grinding feed should be small, the coolant should be sufficient, the size tolerance within 0.01mm Plastic injection mould part should be constant temperature grinding.
